Putting the Benefits Information Network to Work

The Benefits Information Network (BIN) supports people with disabilities as they use and access federal and state work incentives by providing an informed, efficient network of Indiana benefits information counselors who provide disability resources information.

Funded by Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation, the Center on Community Living and Careers:

  • provides a comprehensive curriculum for benefits training and standards for BIN certification;
  • trains BIN liaisons and ensures that they have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the programs;
  • disseminates information on federal and state work incentives and provides regular updates to BIN liaisons; and
  • provides ongoing training and technical assistance to BIN liaisons on work incentives and community resources enhancing employment.

Benefits Trainings

The Center on Community Living and Careers provides certification training as well as informational trainings for professionals, people with disabilities, and families on benefits counseling, the impact of work and earnings on benefits, and on Social Security eligibility.
