The successful completion of the USS Constitution Park Site Design Project reflects a strong and productive partnership between the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands and Radius Indiana, built on shared goals, consistent collaboration, and community-centered planning. Beginning in early 2025, the project brought together regional partners and stakeholders to advance the vision for a new public park connected to the historic Constitution Grove, which continues to supply white oak for the preservation of the U.S.S. Constitution. Through comprehensive site analysis, stakeholder engagement, conceptual design development, cost and operations forecasting, and the creation of presentation-ready materials, the team delivered a robust final report and design framework by October 2025. This project demonstrates the value of cross-sector collaboration in advancing meaningful, place-based park planning efforts.
