Employee Spotlight: Scott Taylor

Thursday, April 16, 2026

Ever wonder how Eppley’s e-courses are produced and what makes them look great on your screen? Let us introduce you to our resident magician, aka web developer, Scott Taylor. In our course development workflow, we research, write, and storyboard, and we then provide our content to Scott, who (magically, it often seems) transforms our work into the online format you experience when you take a course. Scott has been working this magic since 2012 and has weathered many bumps in the road with evolving technologies, new platforms, and security requirements—not to mention some pretty crazy ideas from instructional designers.

Fellow Eppley, Kate Wiltz says, “Scott brings the right balance of creativity and guardrails to his work. He makes sure that we meet technical and accessibility standards, while bringing our ideas to life.”

In addition, Scott helps to produce our newsletter and maintains all of our online courses to keep them functioning and up to date. Scott can be found, most days, on the other end of a video call, in a dimly lit office with his feline assistants. Always, ready with a witty remark or insightful solution, Scott is the heart and soul of the Eppley online course catalog. Check out his work by taking one of the many courses in the Eppley Expand catalog.
