Don Dumayas is a research associate with the Center for Collaborative Systems Change (CCSC) at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Dr. Dumayas has many years of training and research experience in the social services and public health. Prior to working at CCSC, Dumayas worked at the IIDC's Center for Health Equity (CHE) collaborating with other researchers on multiple projects including Oral Health for Hoosiers with Disabilities; Improving Sexual Health Literacy and Advocacy Skills for Adult Women with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities; and 2 COVID-19 vaccination outreach projects. He taught multiple undergraduate courses at Indiana University-Bloomington that covered topics including disability health. Previously, he was a field manager and case manager at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He worked with families in the child welfare system to improve their mental health and reduce their substance abuse.”
