Online course available September 7 through December 6, 2021.
Through this informational, online training, employment professionals, community service providers, and transition coordinators learn the benefits basics so they can assist families and individuals with disabilities, who need information and guidance about how benefits and work incentives can impact work and earnings.
Social Security Work Incentives (SSWI) and Other State and Federal Benefits covers:
- Social Security Work Incentive programs
- Income and asset regulations
- Health care coverage—Medicaid, Medicare, other insurance
- Savings—ABLE accounts, special needs trusts
- The Ticket to Work program
- SNAP, TANF, and HUD
Though this course does not provide certification (competency testing is not required), it does give participants a wealth of information and resources. And since SSWI and Other Federal and State Benefits is self-paced, you can begin anytime while the course materials are live.
