The Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands team just got back from the National Association for Interpretation’s 2024 Conference in St. Augustine, Florida! Kate Wiltz, Kristy Anderson, and Ross Edelstein enjoyed presenting at the conference and discussing Eppley's resources, programming, and online interpretation training opportunities with attendees. Interpreters are a core part of the mission of many park and public land agencies: They tell the stories of our shared resources and help people better connect to them. The Eppley Center was proud to sponsor the conference this year.
The Eppley Center team also had quite the reach at the conference! Our exhibition booth was hopping with activity, and we spoke with lots of amazing conference attendees. Kate and Kristy presented with our partner, the American Battle Monuments Commission’s Chief of Visitor Services and Interpretation, Karen Wurzburger, on ways to use data to inform interpretive programming. Ross presented three times on how to make interpretive and educational content more welcoming, particularly for people with disabilities.
