Structured Teaching Training
IRCA offers 2-day and 3-day Structured Teaching Training for staff and a 1-day Structured Teaching Training for Instructional Assistants. Trainings can be done during sequential days or broken spread out, such as 1 day every 2-4 weeks. These trainings take place within the school district.
Structured Teaching Training covers 4 elements of structured teaching:
- Physical Structure
- Schedules
- Work Systems
- Visual Structure of Materials
Additional areas that are addressed include:
- Informal Assessment
- Play & Leisure
- Social Skills
- Emotional Regulation
- Behavior
