Personal Statement

My passion for my research agenda is driven by my mother, who was a special education teacher throughout my childhood. With this guiding force, I have been fortunate enough to work as a camp director for children and adults with disabilities, serve as a junior high school special education teacher in the Hoosier state, and now have the opportunity to work with the IIDC. I hope to continue to pursue my line of inquiry to identify efficient and effective practices for the transition to adulthood for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
