The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) is highly respected for its research and practices in the field of disability. Its work is known both statewide and nationally for its efforts to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities throughout their lives.
Across its seven centers, the IIDC undertakes a range of research projects, training programs, development initiatives, and service opportunities. The Issue Brief series has been developed to enhance communication and public awareness of the work being done at the IIDC. These briefs are designed to inform various audiences, including individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers, professionals, and policymakers.
