Joy Jones is an experienced administrative support professional at the Early Childhood Center (ECC) within Indiana University's Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC). Since joining the ECC team in November 2015, her diverse skill set and passion for early childhood have made her an integral part of the ECC team.
Jones' key responsibilities at ECC include supporting the development of training materials, online courses, and educational content for early childhood intervention and family support programs through instructional design. She maintains and enhances the ECC website, ensuring accessibility, usability, and up-to-date content. Manages outreach efforts, including social media, and promotional materials for ECC projects, such as the Indiana Early Intervention Conference, and supports center blogs, podcast, and apps. Finally, Jones organizes and manages events, liaises with stakeholders, and serves as the point of contact for inquiries.
Before joining the ECC, Jones spent 10 years at Bloomington Area Birth Services (BABS), a non-profit organization that supported families from pregnancy through three years of age. At BABS Joy developed a strong interest in early childhood and the possibility of fostering lifelong success through education and support in the early years. Prior to that Joy worked in Washington, DC with the Mennonite Central Committee, an organization committed to responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice.
