Wilma J. Ausbrook is a research assistant with the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC) at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Ausbrook comes to Center with eight years of experience as both an area supervisor and a region manager at Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services. She also brings to the team 28 years of classroom experience teaching English, Journalism, and Special Education. During her tenure of teaching Journalism and English, she advised student publications and taught research, technical writing, and advanced placement language. Her special education experience was with students with emotional disturbance. Before moving to Indiana, she worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections in the Division of Planning and Research. Ausbrook was also a consulting writer for the Oklahoma Department of Education.
Degrees
Ausbrook holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Indiana University.
