Personal Statement
I have a strong connection with young children and their families. I have over 20 years of working with this population both as a First Steps provider in Indiana, a state program consultant, an evaluator of the state system, evaluator of preschool teachers and their interactions with the young children they teach, running a local Early Head Start Program, and overseeing the daily operations of six child care center licenses. I enjoy working with young families and the professionals who serve them through mentoring, coaching, and, professional development opportunities. My desire is to make sure all children get the quality early childhood opportunities they need so they are able to reach their full potential at school, with their families and in the communities they live.
