Roberta Stafford - NCI Surveyor
Roberta Stafford is a research assistant at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Stafford worked for almost thirty years with the State of Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services. She began her career in 1985 as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and worked for twenty-three years both in Indianapolis and Bloomington. She was the area supervisor for the Bloomington VR office from 2008-2014. Stafford has extensive experience in the field of employment for persons with various types of disabilities including cognitive impairments and developmental disabilities, mental illness, brain injuries, and autism. Stafford was actively involved in transition services both as a counselor and supervisor participating and leading transition councils in Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Morgan counties. Currently Stafford is updating and developing VR counselor training modules and has been involved for the past five years with conference planning for Indiana Association of People Supporting Employment First.
