Yunhao Gu (Scarlett) is a doctoral graduate student at Indiana University’s School of Education in the Counseling Psychology program. She is the student of Dr. Rebecca Martínez, director of the IRCA.
Scarlett will begin work at the Indiana Resource Center for Autism (IRCA) in the Fall of 2024. Currently, Scarlett is interested in the influence of language barriers and cultural differences in the diagnosis of ASD. She hopes to shed light on the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Degrees
Scarlett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and History from Barnard College and a Master of Science in Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on counseling and mental health services.
