Dr. Rebecca S. Martínez started her tenure as director of the IRCA in the Fall of 2023. She has worked in various professional positions, including bilingual classroom teacher, school psychologist, school psychology trainer, tenured professor, director of clinical training, and licensed psychologist. Martínez is bilingual and bicultural.
Degrees
Martínez holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville, a master’s degree in Program Evaluation, and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Personal Statement
Martínez's mission as director of the IRCA includes fostering meaningful professional relationships with stakeholders in Indiana and across the country, building a robust program of research and funding, closing the research-to-practice gap in autism research, and training counselors and psychologists to serve neurodivergent people and their families.
