It’s the end of an era at the Center for Community Living and Careers (CCLC) as Adria Nassim, research assistant with the IIDC, ceases publication of her monthly blog, Adria’s Notebook.
Over the course of the last six years, Adria has shared the ins-and-outs of navigating life as a person with a physical disability. From firsthand accounts on how to live independently in “Lessons from 15 Years of Independent Living,” to cooking advice in “Making Dinner: The Collaborative Approach to Cooking with a Disability,” and everything in between, Adria shared wisdom will leave a lasting impact on our community.
Although her CCLC chapter has ended, Adria will continue to share her invaluable perspective with her audience through articles for the Indiana Resource Center on Autism and Bloom Magazine. Next up for Adria is a collaboration with IIDC Research Scientist John Andresen on post-secondary education and students with disabilities.
The CCLC staff can’t thank Adria enough for her contributions. She will be missed!
